VISITOR VISA APPLICATION PROCESSING TIME (URGENT)

My husband applied for a visitor visa online on 16th August 2021.
(He had visited Canada earlier many times. So this is not his first visit. His children and wife are Canadian citizens.)


My husband lives in Delhi. The Biometrics was done on 1st Oct 2021.


To date, we have not heard anything. His application status shows the following.......


We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.


Review of eligibility

• Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
• We do not need additional documents.
• You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes
• You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes
• We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
• Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

We do not know whom to contact as nobody picks up the phone in the new delhi office.


Is there any way we can find out what is the problem and why is it taking so much time?

agree, if he reapplies on new portal, expect a positive decision in a couple of weeks only as per the current trend if no overstay or any criminality issue

What happens to the earlier application ? we have an application no,, a UHIC no issued against his name.
Won't it be a duplicate application for the same person?

We have paid application fees, done biometrics. Do we have to repeat the entire process?

U have to pay again 100 CAD & the existing application will be automatically withdrawn when the decision will be done on new one..no need for a new Bio, mention old UCI number while filling new one

Agree that he needs to apply through the new portal. Has he been aPproved for a TRV while his wife and children were living in Canada? There is often reluctance to approve spouses of Canadian citizens who are living in Canada if there are concerns that the other parent plans to remain in Canada and be sponsored.
