Let us start a new thread for Visitor Visa Application

Visitor Visa after previous rejection

Applied for mother: May 02
Biometric : Valid because of previous rejection in 2024
Status: In process

amyome who hsd submitted Visitor Visa Application from India
Note:

My parents visa were rejected in 2024. Now to show them a stronger tie to return back, I have applied visa only for my mother. Does this make a strong tie as I have mentioned that my father is senior citizen and mother has to return back to take care of him and that she only wants to visit us for a period of not more then 2 months and have also included tickets.

Any views on this

Do not purchase any tickets. IRCC actually warns you not to purchase tickets until you have your approved visa in your passport. Proposed travel dates and times from airline websites or other travel websites are sufficient. Having your father remain at home does create a strong tie to your mother’s home country and increases chances of approval. Explaining that your mother can only remain in Canada for up to 2 months because she cares for your father is not a great explanation. If she can visit for 2 months her caregiving role is not essential. A simple explanation like your father feeling like traveling is too taxing on his body at his age and/or that he prefers sticking to his normal routine while your mother still wants to travel are also perfectly good explanations. Sometimes the honest and simple explanation can be the best option.
