hi, I applied for my TRV on 23rr April via online application. However till date, the online status says that my application is in progress. The online application processing time is estimated to be 22 days. However, the duration from the date of my application is well beyond 22 days. I understand that this estimated time is only a rough idea of bare minimum time taken by the Canadian officials to process any application. Now the problem is that I don't know how much longer this processing is going to take. My main worry is that my tickets for USA are booked. I am flying to USA on the 4th June and I don't know if my visa will come through before that. In case it does come through before that, is there a way to expediate the visa stamping process? Secondly, incase the approval comes while I am already in states, can I submit my visa at the VFS office in NY? Or is it possible to receive my visa scan in my registered email is?? Pls help. I am panicking now.

If you get a passport request when you're in India, yes, you can expedite visa stamping.

Do update this thread when you get the request + the city where you're based. We can advise then

Yes, you can either mail or submit your passport in-person to the NY VAC. You must factor in about 7-10 business days

No, the TRV is a counterfoil sticker glued in your passport. It is not an email visa

In the meanwhile, you can send both a Case Specific Enquiry + an email to the correct visa office for your region/state requesting for an expedited decision. Do include your US tickets as well

Don't panic. You have plenty of time :)

Thanks for the insight. I am based in New Delhi. Furthermore, I have already sent a inquiry mail to the delhi based visa office I.e. delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca and delhi@international.gc.ca. In fact I have also submitted a web form inquiry on the IRCC website about 4 days back. But no revert from any of the above mentioned. I wonder if there is a helpline no. For such issues for India? I am aware that there is a helpline no. Which is accessible from Canada.

The visa office does not respond to Web form queries (CSEs) if the processing time has not exceeded that stated on the IRCC website. You have sent the CSE ahead of the estimated processing time.

There's no CIC call centre outside Canada. In any case, CIC agents do not have any other information than what is already available to you
