Visitor Visa And IEC, CONFUSED!!

Hi all, Im here on a visitor visa, i applied for an extension to my visitor visa and im currently awating their decision. However my real problem is to do with the IEC due to open in janurary, i read on the internet, (another forum page) that if i apply for the IEC within canada i can be rejected, is it ok to apply within canada? Also i read that while creating my Kompass account, i should list that i am applying from my home country, ie country of residence, and then state i am in canada for the proper forms? Please help!!! thanks..

Therein lies your problem - reading and believing everything on the Internet.

I am doing exactly that. I am a visitor in Canada from the UK and I am here until the end of February 2014 but I managed to get my IEC application in the first round and now I have submitted for the second round after being conditionally accepted for the first round.

You can do the same.

Correct.

State your home as in your home country but put down your correspondence as in Canada so long as you will still be in Canada by the time you hear the decision. Bearing this in mind, if you apply online then the default contact method will be by email anyway so you won't miss any snail mail if you have to go back to your home country.

Be totally honest with everything including you being in Canada. You haven't moved to Canada so you can't really apply 'within Canada' or what is formally called 'inland'. Inland is far slower than outland for most CIC-related applications anyway.

Example: spouse PR application for outland (UK, London) is 10 months. inland is about 2 years.

Yes I said I have a correspondance address and current staying address of in Canada but my home is back in England. It asks you for those 2 addresses in different boxes. They expect you to possibly have a different address for both. For example students living in student dorms/apartments in uni away from their parents (this is for young people afterall).
