Sorry for the question am frustrated I just wanna know after 2 months the VO can still refuse the visa or after 2 months the chance is higher to can approved. Mine 2 months to day and now news but the processing time was 16 days on the website.

Yes, TRVs can be refused at any point in the process, regardless of processing time.

Thank you for the answer. But why they keep the passport for long time and refuse again. 60 days to day am still waiting while the processing time was 16 days

Times posted are just an estimate based on 80% of the applications. That means 1 out of 5 applications WILL take longer.

They can keep the passport for long periods of time for many reasons. Most of the time it goes through random exhaustive scrutiny... basically bad luck.

Nothing to do but wait.

In my case its already more than 2 months . I send them email and they said " additional verification" required. So can i assume additional verification means Background check ? so they all different ?

We cannot assume anything. Verification can be done to any of the documents and claims made.

Actually they are quite fast and efficient, but no process/system is perfect. You just got bad luck.

@icanad is that your first time to apply for Canada visitor visa or second times? If it's your first time I think there is no UCI NUMBER. But probably in the second one. I'm not really sur other Elite member will confirm you soon.
