Visitor visa 2024

Hello everyone, I applied for a visitor Visa on the 28 January 2024 to attend a conference on the 4 May 2024 , the conference has passed, my application is still processing, I don’t know if I stand a chance to still obtain the visa . My application was updated on the 28 May 2025 . I received this update on my IRCC tracker , Eligibility completed, is this a good sign, Please what should I do next . They said they sent me a message. But I can’t see it in my email.

Realistically if the conference date has passed there would be no need for the TRV. IRCC is aware that people think that saying you are attending a conference will make it easy to secure a TRV. You typically also need to show that you have attended similar conferences internationally before and that your employer or the conference is paying for you to attend. It is very strange that it has taken 1.5 years to get a response especially given the fact that the conference was over a year ago so should have been denied after the conference date.
