Have you received a positive LMO? You have to apply to a visa office outside Canada for the initial work permit (LA or NYC).

hi joaquin and helpful senior members,
i'm glad i found your thread. I am apparently in the same situation. Right now, my LMO is still processing but my employer said, that cic already contacted them about my LMO application, so i'm hoping i'll get my LMO in a few days. It's my employer's first time in hiring a foreign worker, and he is very upset with the agency he contacted to help him process other foreign workers' work permit... to cut the story short, I'm on my own in processing my work permit from now on. but my employer is very supportive/positive that i can processes my work permit without any scamming agency.

after you got your positive LMO from your employer, what did you do? i am hired as a general laborer, do i still need a medical?
how do i get my work permit?

I'm from the philippines too, i have a multiple temporary canadian visa and a multiple entry US visa.... what are my options on how i can obtain my work permit?

hi barbie! where did find Your job? how's your application? im also planning to enter as a tourist and look for a job. i hope you can share some tips. kelan ka pa dyan sa Canada? matagal ka ba bago nakahanap ng work? thank you.

Sinuwerte lang talaga ako, kasi over night lang ako naghintay. I sent my resume then the next day scheduled for interview na ako then natangap nako. Ang mahirap lang is yung pag change ng status, from visitor to work permit saka yung paghihintay ng papers. Or mastart na process ng LMO mo and yung medical clearance. Kailangan mo kumuha medical clearance para makapag change ng visitor visa to work visa.  good luck!

Congrats Joaquin, Dami ka fans dito, all of us are waiting for the result of your work permit application.

Kindly check your mail box I pm'd you. thanks

hi joaquin,

ano nangyari sa 2 work permit applications mo? na-approve ba? i will be in the same situation soon. yung isa, renewal ng current employer ko and the other one is application for new employer.

possible ba ito? need to renew the current kasi i need to work for another 2 months so that I will be on implied status. in short, may overlap ng application. the new employer 1 month ahead with the current.

nako nadelay nako sa reply..
if you need medical clearance while inside canada, nasa website ng CIC yung list of accredited clinics sa luob ng canada.
