what's the difference between temporary resident permit and visitor?

thanks
1) Temporary Resident Visa: TRV: a sticker/Counterfoil or permission to travel towards canada and seek a entry into canada from an immigration officer. with TRV in passport the holder seek entry into canada for the purpose of tourism, family visit etc etc.(short visits/stay)

2) Temporary Resident permit: TRP A permission to travel to canada if you are otherwise inadmissible but have a reason to travel to Canada that is justified in the circumstances. In general terms if someone is not allowed to enter into canada for some reasons like medical issue, crimnal etc and still want to visit canada for a genuine reason will apply for a TRP.

3) Visitor or Visitor status: in the above both cases when a person successfully enters into Canada, he is said to have a visitor status during his allowed stay in canada. i.e when the immigration officer at airport or border allowed the TRV or TRP holder to enter into canada the traveler gets a visitor status.

Hope you understand the difference.
