I just got approved to remain in Canada as my PWGP permit expires soon. My passport already has a visitor visa that expires 2026. My visitor record expires April 2025. I wanna know if I have to send my passport after I receive the Visitor Record Permit. Thanks

No need to send in your passport.

Hello.. we applied for my parents visitor record by post. Their super visa is valid for another 2 years but the entry stamp expires in 2 months.For some reason the online portal has not been working. It's been a month since we sent the papers by post. But haven't received any acknowledgement. Any suggestions from previous experience? Thanks

This is normal. Current processing times are around 130 days.

Thanks. I saw on the website that they can stay in Canada until they hear back from IRCC. In case, the reply comes after their entry stamp expires. Is that ok? I am worried as the only proof that we have of postal application is the canada post receipt. Any advice helps. Thanks

Yes, they can stay in Canada under maintained status until IRCC makes a decision.
