The required documents are the same as normal visit visa extensions.
Medical test may be required if the person has not provided in the earlier visit visa extension.

If you remained past the expiry date of your visa you must complete the medical. You should inform IRCC when you leave Canada to try and avoid this scenario.
Hello,
The visitor record I have will expire in 5 days. Although I will extend my stay, I also realized that I have another option, which is to apply for an openwork permit. Would it be better to extend my visitor record first, then apply for OWP, or should I apply directly for OWP?
(My husband included me in his application for PR .)

My friend came here in Canada as visitor and his 6 months entry is about to expire in a month. He wants to stay here longer and want to apply visitor record. on the application form, should he choose 'Planning to stay in 6 months" or More than 6 months?

Hello, I am submitting a visitor record for my Mother. In document checklist she has to upload 'Proof of Means of Financial Support '. Can I attach a letter that I will sponsor her stay or did she need her own bank balance and funds?
- What reason did you provide for the extension?
- Did you choose the option for less than 6 months or more than 6 months?
- What did you include as proof of funds?(any Backhome Proof of Funds or only Canadian)
As a visitor you parent should be able to provide proof of their funds in their home country.
Hi. We applied for my mother in law’s extension as a visitor. It was approved for another 6 months. However, there was a condition stated that she must leave Canada on 12/31/2024. But her visa was extended til April 2025. So does that mean she has to exit Canada first then come back? Any thoughts? TIA
That's correct, visa doesn't give you a right to stay in Canada but to enter. How long you can stay it will be decided by a border officer.
Hi, yes visitor visa record. So my SIL was the one who applied for her extension. She was already here last April 2024, and applied for an extension. She was approved til April 2025, but on the conditions/restrictions. Must leave Canada by Dec 31.2024. So we should follow what was written on the condition, correct?
