Visitor Record - Medical Exam - inside Canada

Hello

my relative application for visitor record was processed (on sept 7) and final decision was made as approved till Dec 2021
however the letter of extension is not there as it was in the last extension
instead they are asking for IMM 1017 medical exam

my question is

why does the application says approved and still they need medical exams to be done

has any one else (on visit visa) has had a request for such an exam recently
if yes, how is the process. is there something to be worried about
or are they looking for vaccination certificate etc?

strangely, received the approval on visitor record after the next day they received the medical exam request
medical examination was not done.
is it still required?

Similar status for us..Applied for extn due to.travel.ban.and.then found a flight and returned to home country before original visa period expiry.. Extension was approved 5 months later and medical.yo be done inside canada...medical.was.completed as we had left canada lkng before

Extension was approved 5 months later and medical.yo be done inside canada...medical.was.not completed as we had left canada long before...its been more than 1 year and now need to travel.back..will.this create an issue on re-entry? Extn document is expired and will travel on original visa which is still valid..any help and info here will be highly useful..pls revert

shouldnt be an issue i guess. you might be asked question or two at the PoE
