I am about to apply for inland sponsorship for my spouse. She is currently visiting on a TRV. I have opened a joint account, have her name on the lease and utility bills. Was also planning on getting a photo ID for her (BCID). Went to ICBC to get this done but they said they need a visitor record and not the TRV stamped in the passport.
1) Is having a BCID mandatory while applying for inland sponsorship?
2) Is this visitor record same as the one we apply during TRV extension or something different? How quickly can I get the visitor record and any specific document to fill other than IMM 5708 ?
