Not sure why you didn’t deal with this before travelling to Banff but yes you need to leave, you don’t have status in Canada anymore.

Hi!
I received a refusal of my visitor record extension today. This is the second time I have applied to extend my visitors record, since I’m in Canada so that I can be with my Canadian boyfriend. I believe the reason for my refusal was that they didn’t believe that I would leave Canada at the end of my stay - cause I’m here because of my boyfriend. In the refusal letter it says to leave Canada immediately if my permit is expired which it did a couple days ago. My boyfriend and I are both extremely frustrating and confused right now so I was hoping that someone here might know what to do. I have read several places that you can apply for a restoration of status within 90 days, is that correct? I don’t really know anything about it as this is my first time being in this situation. I provided all the right documents with my application as well as proof of financial means. I am from Denmark and usually immigration officers here know that my reasons for being here are genuine so I am extremely frustrated that this is happening. I hope someone can give me some more information on what to do, as my boyfriend and I plan to get married in the future and have a life together so I really want to do everything in my power to figure this out.
