Hello everyone,

I’m currently in the CEC pool with a CRS score of 501. My work permit has expired, and I’ve applied for a visitor record while awaiting approval (timeline: 11 weeks).

In the meantime, I’m staying optimistic and staying informed about immigration updates. If anyone is in a similar situation or has insights, suggestions, or helpful tips, please share. Your advice is greatly appreciated!

I'm assuming you are aware that recent draws have been well above your score. Are you doing something like learning French to increase your points?

Writing English Language tests where i can gain more points.

You want to aim to increased your score to the 540 range ideally. Good luck.

The wait will be crucial at times. There'll instances where you might feel frustrated. Try to distract yourself by going to the public libraries as there are many activities that you can do free of cost. Hopefully, the points drop soon early next year and you get your ITA soon! All the best!

Depending on your profile your best plan may be to return home and gain more work experience, increase your IELTS scores, maybe learn French, etc. Staying in Canada hoping to get selected without the ability to work only drains any savings and is likely not sustainable long term. I would suggest reassessing in January when you see a draw and who is in the pool and the likelihood of getting selected in the near future.

Yes. I have gained maximum experience back home. Yes trying my best to increase CLB. Current CLB is 8 aiming for CLB 9 for good score. Hoping January gives some positive news. Thank you !!!
