Visitor (Not Super) Visa for parents

Hi All,

Wondering if someone can provide some information here. My parents in Pakistan applied for visitor visa. My dad was the applicant and my mom was presented as accompanying family member. She got the visa but my dad was refused due to insufficient funds. We had indicated in the application that they will bring approx $2000 with them for miscellaneous expenses but the majority of the expenses will be taken care off by me. Does anyone know what the "magic" number is for sufficient funds? how much money do they have to show in their bank account? After we put more money in the account, how soon after can my dad apply for visitor visa again? What are his chances of getting the visa now?

That's really odd. They gave visa to the financially dependent, but not to the principal applicant.

Anyway, you should never indicate the line in RED TEXT for TRV application. You can say that you will bear all cost (i.e. food, accommodation, transportation, medical etc.) once they are here in Canada. But they will certainly look into the principal applicant's bank accounts to see if it's more than enough for travel (air ticket, misc cost during stay etc.). To me, it should be around 8k-10K or more.

Can My dad re-apply for visitor's visa as early as after a week or so?

Should he apply as brand new application or should attach the objection letter along with a justification? does he have to mention about previous rejected application at all when re applying?

I am trying to apply for my wifes parents to come to canada from pakistan. They recently visited states.

Now they want to visit us here.

Any precautions i should take besides following the application i saw the amount i must show them.

Do i have to show any money in accounts?

I am permanent resident in Canada. My wife is four month twin pregnant and we really need someone from my family to come visit us from Pakistan to help me and wife. My wife is a canadian citizen and her family lives in Toronto. I have a Dr note that suggest someone should take care of my wife because Twin pregnancy is considered as HIGH RISK. I got this letter to attach with my visit visa application. Can someone guide me what other documents I should attach with my parents visa application. I want my mother and father to come visit me. Can someone tell what are the chances of getting visa? I applied for my mother's visit visa 2 years ago and it got rejected due insufficient travel history and no strong ties with Pakistan. Three years ago (2011) my father visited me on visit visa. Reason of his visit was to attend my university convocation. Will his travel history help my mother's visit visa if I apply for their visa together? As a Pakistani women, my mother does not have any property in her name or any strong bank statement. Will that effect the application?
My youngest brother is 21 years old. can I apply for his visit visa alongwith my parents? Should I apply online or paper application. Any help would be appreciated!

He has to submit a new TRV application when his financial circumstances change.

When I applied for my parents, I attached my doc s letter, my and my husband s employment letters, and invitation letter.

From my parent' s end, my father showed his property paper, his employment letter, his paystubs for past year and funds he showed were 2000$ and said that my daughter will take care of the expenses. During the whole process my mother was accompanying dependent. She just filled her info and her family info and since she is a house wife, she is completely financially dependent on my dad.

But our case was so strange, that my mother got her visa and my father was reject for insufficient funds. Now my dad is re apply and will show bank statement up to 11 Lac rps, which would be sufficient funds for two.

In your case.. don't apply for your brother along with your parent. CIC would think they as a family have a plan to stay in Canada forever. this can go against you. apply for your parents first, when they get the visa. then your brother can apply separately.
Remember your parents have to provide valid proof that they will return to Pakistan, after certain period of time.

Hey guys my mom is applying from Pakistan and she has only 200,000 rupees in her account and she also have some properties in Pakistan and she gets rent from those properties is it sufficient balance? And also I am going to afford all her expenses in Canada would she need to show more money in her bank in Pakistan?

How long they took to issue the visa?
I can only assume 2000CDN would be just the ticket expenses from Pakistan, may me that's the reason they rejected your father's visa.

you can contact your local community center, the immigration and new immigrant department. I called them and then they gave me the sample which we edited which our annual income, and then took the letter to community center which we signed in front of the consulate, and she stamped it.
