Hi,

Could someone please help me out with the below query? Thank you very much!!

I have been in Canada since November 2019 and my first visitor extension was approved and granted until September 2020; subsequently I had to apply for a second visitor extension in August 2020 for a duration of 6 months until February 2021 due to airports being closed for travel.

I have yet to be notified by the IRCC on whether I was granted approval for the second extension.

Is it possible to request a third extension as my PR is already in process and I should hopefully hear back from IRCC by April 2021 on whether I have got the PR or not? (I have multiple entry VISA until 2026)

Further, my ability to travel back has been hindered by family obligations towards an ailing family member who's alone in Canada.

Any help on the above is greatly appreciated, thanking you in earnest.

Don't submit another extension. Wait for the results of the last extension you requested.

Mo you can only apply for a supervisa if outside Canada.

Thank you! I am increasingly worried that IRCC might not get back to me by February 25th (the date till which i asked my extension for). What do I do then?

You have implied status until a decision is made in your application. There's nothing to worry about.
