Visitor extension~ emails from CIC question

I applied for visitor extensions for myself and my children back in February. Today I received an email for each of us stating that our application has been updated and to log in to check the status. When I logged in nothing has changed and there is no messages on our account. Anyone else have this experience?

I have experience the same thing. I applied for visa extension in Nov 2015, got two emails saying that my application has been updated but when I checked online nothing changed. After that I would get an email once a month saying that there has been no updates on my application yet. I got my extension approved in March.
So, nothing to worry about.

In the IEC circles they just get called Ghost Emails. Likely someone logs in and works on your account.

I applied for an extension on December 21st, and just received the good news message in CIC today.

Waiting on the letter in the post now.
