i am planning on sending my visitor extension 2 weeks prior to sending in my PR application. Or should I try to hold off to send them both at the same time? This is my third extension. Thanks!

It doesn't matter when you send it. With the application or prior to the application. Just be sure that when you sign/send the application that you have a status.
I sent my extension BEFORE I sent my application! I was approved for another year. This is my third Visitor Record.
Make sure you use the same UCI for your PR app as the UCI for your extension!
You know you can't actually SEND them together right?
When applying for the visitor extension try to include a receipt of you paying your pr app fees. It's extra reinforcement that that is your actual plan.
Doesn't matter when you apply for which as long as you don't let your visitor status expire.
