Hi,
I'm a citizen of EU and will visit my wife in Canada soon. I'm about to start working for a EU company remotely and would like to continue working for them from inside Canada. Would that be legal in my case? I'll be staying in Canada on tourist visa. Would receiving my payment via transfer to Canadian bank account change the legality of this?

There are no issues with remote work provided the company you are working for has no Canadian clients / contracts.

That seems to be illegal to me, any kind of work even its a remote working from canada...... if its not illegal then people from so many country can come on travel visa and work remotely ( Like US work permit holder can spend some time in canada as tourist and work remotely)

and asking pay in canadian account surely it will get linked to SIN number , and it will mean its a case of pay for work ....

Just a suggestion , please take a legal opinion from lawyers instead of landing into big trouble.

Since your wife is working in Canada right ? get Spouse work permit on port of entry and it will be then good for you...
