Visiting Visa for spouse

Hello,

I have applied for a Spousal Permanent residency (Outland - Family Class)for my wife. I have first sent the application in July, but it unfortunately got returned because of missing signatures. So I sent the filled in complete application back again in October. Now I am unsure on when the application would get processed and when she would be able to come to Canada.

So, I am planning on applying for a TRV for my wife, but I just have a couple of concerns for which I am seeking out help. The concerns are after she gets her TRV (*Fingers Crossed*)
1) Can she fly to canada right after she gets her visiting visa and get her Biometrics and Medicals done here in Canada?
2) Would she be able to send in her passport for stamping after she gets her Passport request while she is in Canada? If so, where would she be sending her passport to?
3) Once she gets the Visa (After PR passport stamping) for flying to Canada, where can she obtain her Permanent Residency status? Meaning can she do flagpoling while she is here in Canada on Visiting?

I sincerely thank everyone of your replies.Thank you all for taking your time out in reading this elaborate concern and replying.

1) Biometrics can only be done outside of Canada. Medical can be done in Canada.
2) Yes - she can send her passport to a visa office inside of Canada.
3) She can flagpole or book a landing appointment at an office within Caanda (it can take a while to get an approintment).

Note that TRV refusal rates are pretty high in cases where the applicant has a spouse in Canada.

You should expect sponsorship processing to take about 12 months from the time the complete application was received in October.

Thank you for your reply. So she would receive instructions on:
- Where and how she can give her medicals. So she can choose to give her medicals here in Canada. Right?
- After getting her passport request she can send her passport to the Visa office here in Canada (Address can be found in the instructions provided) Correct?

It's her choice where she does the medical.
Not sure of the exact process. Check the family sponsorship section of the forum.
