1. Yes, as he had traveled/lived in Dubai with that passport for 30 years..... without correcting the spelling.... he must mention this

2. Yes, he must state any other names/aliases, etc when he applies

Can you guys answer a few questions?

1. Did you apply online?

2. Were your parents living in India at the time of application?

3. To which office the passports were asked to be submitted?

4. How long the whole process took?

IMO, there's no reason to worry as processing time has just crossed the estimated time posted on the IRCC website

Lucky congrats ☺

It has been 22 working days and still havent received any updates from cic about my parents TRV.
Does New Delhi VO takes longer time to process?

It was applied on 15 March 2017 and its almost goin to be a month.

:(

Hi Nithya,

The processing times posted on the IRCC website are only indicative/a guide. Actually processing time can take much longer. Also, you must also factor in holidays (Good Friday, for example)

Cheers

Received a mail from cic
Was so excited but when opened it, I was like aaarrrrggghhh

Guess It was an automated mail that is sent every 30 days during the process of applications.

There is no update message about your application since the last time you checked.
Thank you for your patience.

This was what I received.
