American citizen dating Canadian citizen..

Came September 2016, extended march 2017 to march 2018..

We are traveling back to the states...

I understand there's always a risk to being denied entry back to Canada..

But are we higher a chance because I've already been here a year?

Do's and Donts when crossing the border?

No work permit. Boyfriend is supporting me.

Point is when you come back they could very easily start asking these questions. You have been in Canada for a year and they likely are going to start to think you are living there.

If your desire is to immigrate you should get that started because yes there is a lot of risk when you cross the border they won't let you in.

We are applying for PR as soon as we come back! I'm picking up the letters from my family / friends when I'm there, as well as printing pictures! And if need be, we will pay the price for the application and show them that! We've done every thing by the book and will continue to do so.

Understand and I'm simply here to caution you that it really does depend on the agent. There is always risk when you leave the country when you have extended your status as you have. There is no right of reentry at present.
