Dear readers,

Greetings of the day!

I would like to request some of the experienced and experts to suggest and advise me for the following mentioned below.

My sister is a PR in Canada. It has been 4 months now after she left her home country. Now she is pregnant. I would like to visit her during her delivery.

Which visa should I apply? What are the documents required? Can I apply for super visa? I know it's for parents but my mother is old and she won't be able to help my sister during delivery. .

Another thing is I have a business here in my home country. I am a mother of a 10 year old girl. Can these prove that
I will be there only on visit and will be back to my home country after the delivery?

Please help me with the answers.

Thank you.

Be aware that helping your sister with a new baby is considered "work" by IRCC, and it is illegal to do on a visitor visa. You may be denied based on purpose of visit.

What you suggest are good ties to your home county. Hopefully they will outweigh the concerns over purpose of visit.

Thank you for your response. Could you please advise me on how to apply for visitor visa without mentioning baby?
I have to go there to see her baby. Can I just apply for the visa? Please suggest

You cannot get a super visa. You have to apply for a TRV. Unless you have other reasons to visit Canada, you will have to use your sister as the reason to visit and hope for the best.

Thank you. Could you please tell me what are the documents required to apply for TRV? Will the reason to visit a sister be approved?

Whether your TRV is approved will depend on your ties to your home country, your finances, your previous travel history, etc.

Hello Canuck! Thank you for replying. I have a business here in my home country. I am married and have a school going kid. I have traveled to India and Russia only. Will these ties help to get my visa approved?

Can’t say. Your travel history doesn’t help you for the permit. Would only apply for a short visit to increase your chances of approval. Your sister only moved 4 months ago so it is pretty early to visit. If you get refused I assume her husband will be with her. Canadians can apply for paternity leave or he can take some holiday time to help her out after the birth.
