Visiting Home country and Coming Back

I came to Canada in last July 2011 and planning to visit home country in April. Are there any formalities/ requirement that I need to fulfill before leaving Canada and which documents I should carry with me to re-enter Canada. I came as a Federal skilled worker if that matters.
