Visiting country of origin after issuance of PCC. Is it still valid?

Hello all,

I have been living in Canada for 5 years and got a police certificate from my country of origin when I went there for a visit more than a year ago. A couple of months ago, I again went for a visit.

CIC says "the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory". The last time I lived there was 6 years ago.

Is my PCC still valid or visits count as living? Did anyone get their PR approved or got rejected this way?

As per the consensus in these forums, you will require a new PCC dated AFTER the last time you departed your country of origin. So you would need it dated after the visit a year ago.
