Hello! Thank you in advance for anyone taking the time to read this!

Background information: I met my now fiancee online on a massive online game community. I wasnt planning it. It just happened. We have been together this October for 3 years...
At the time, I was working at a Police Department. He came down in October of last year for our first real meeting. We had a blast. We traveled, he came home, met my parents...etc. Well we decided I was going to come up for a 3-4 month visit in December, to look for work to start a work visa application (I was planning on moving to Canada to be with him) So In December I quit my job, packed my things, including animals and such. I didnt know not to bring these things...I had a trailer full! After 4 hours of interrogation at a land crossing...pleading with them explaining I wasnt going to board my dogs for 3-4 months...etc...they said I should have asked for a "leave of absence" from work...(ya right what job would let you leave for that long...) Not brought all my "worldly possessions" (ok they got me there) and I didnt bring any proof of insurance (i just quit my job T.T and they took my cards...lol) or proof of funds...they counted my money in my pocket and laughed. I had like $300 something dollars on me. But I had Credit Cards...

I signed a form saying I declined my application voluntary from Canada.

April.

His parents invited me to go to Bermuda in April. So I flew to New York, met him up, and we flew to Bermuda together. Stayed there 1 week. I then flew back with him to Toronto, to visit his other family members and to go to his home. I had just a suitcase. I brought proof of insurance, bank statements...etc...I got stopped and interrogated for 2 hours. Lucky he was walking through customs and saw me, and the man interrogating me saw him...motioned for him to come in...and interrogated him. Lucky that worked out because all of our story lined up, matched...He was NOT going to let me in because of my previous attempt to come into Canada. He didnt look at my insurance/bank statements...really care that my Car and Animals were in USA. He didnt understand my "travel arrangements." He even told me I was crazy for trying to be with a guy that I have hardly known very long. (WTF We skype practically 24/7)

We have been asked every question under the stars at these interrogation points. Its very imbarassing.

Now I am wanting to visit again, before the wedding! I will be flying into Winnipeg since that is closer to his home (we went to Toronto to see his other side's family because his family is split)

I am so scared they are going to reject me because he will not be able to come back and talk to Immigration Officers. He will be "on the other side" waiting.

I have NOT gotten a job in 9 months due to circumstances. My car and animals will be taken care of by parents/friends. I will NOT tell them we are engaged (more reason for me to stay) I will only have 1 small suitcase. Proof of insurance/funds...etc.

When we tried to cross the boarder we also had stupid texts on our cell phones saying I was moving...well I was in a way, going to move up there, get a sponser for work visa, and stay on a work visa.

What a mess.

Any suggestions?

He cannot visit me because he burned all his vacation when we tried to cross the first time in December.

I'm afraid that you have rather shot yourself in the foot. You are on the system now and you are likely to have a significant risk of being bounced every time you try to enter.

Rather than fight the system, and lose, why don't you get married and then he can sponsor you under the Family Class as an "outland" application? Looking at the long term, if this is not your overall intention, then why bother to fight CBSA every visit to no purpose.

For your amusement, I also met my wife when I was an admin/dev on an MMORPG and she was a player. We've been married over 8 years now ;D

We are planning to do the spousal sponsor, after married.

Yea...We screwed up big time. We even hired 2 lawyers and talked to them about our situation...expensive...to get similar responses.

I would like to visit him again before we tie the knot but his work will not allow him to come here.

T.T

I have nightmares about being declined and going through the interrogation process again.

BUT. When we were in Toronto we made a deal that I would leave by my return ticket date. The systems went down... and so he litterally had to stamp my Passport with a regular stamp, technically allowing me in for 6 months. He said if I wasnt out of the country at the date that we agreed, I could kiss my chances of visiting Canada again good bye.

He said there is an additional form that we would have had to fill out but since the computers went down and didnt know how long for, he said he was trusting us...

That is in the computers too I assume.

So I showed that I held up to my end of the bargain...

Ive passed lie detector tests and everything else working for the Police Dept...I wish they would lie test me -.- Ive never lied to them.

Any idea the success rate would be if I was to visit this October if I:

-Have a return ticket
-Point out I visited in April and returned home with no issues
-Have health insurance
-Proof of funds
-show them somehow my animals are being taken care of by friends/family
-car is in states w/ my other possessions.

???

Anything else I could do or add to my case that I would be returning...?

And what happens if I fly up there, and are denied?

Do they provide a ticket back? Or kick me off to nearest airport in the States?

Ideally you should be able to show that you have a job and a property lease to return to.
Given your previous run in with CBSA, it's really impossible to say what your chances are.
If you do get bounced, you should make every effort to pay your own way back.
If they paid for a flight, you will have to repay it before they would let you return to Canada.

Jobs:

Currently where I live there are little to choose from for jobs. The lawyer told me that I cannot get a silly simple job like working at McDonalds because I was previously at a Police Department. They would be suspicious of a job that I have no ties to go back to, and see that I got a BS job that I could leave and no one would care...if that makes sense...

If I "rented" my room from my parents, even if its in a legal mumbo jumbo papers, would they notice, so I would have a "place" I had to go back to...someone suggested that to me before.

Thank you for all of your information and help.

If I were you I'd get married as soon as it's possible so you can get an Outland application started. I know it's a rush and what not but I think that would put an ease on things. I'm not sure if I would consider traveling to Canada after you applied for Outland, or you could travel to Winnipeg and hopefully get in this time and stay, get married and apply inland. If you apply inland and include an open work permit along with it you get implied status so you won't need to extend your stay as a visitor.

i was just wondering, why don't you try to apply for a TRV at a Canadian Embassy (even when you are from a visa-exempt country) to spare yourself from questioning/interrogation at the POE?

It will probably have to ba an old fashioned "paper" application as I'm reasonably certain that as soon as the online checker decides that you are visa-exempt, it exits.
