Hi members!

I have 8 months remaining on my study permit and I wish to apply for a spouse visa. I am confused whether to apply for sowp or visitor visa as I dont have the required time for sowp processing. Whats the best way to proceed from here. Please guide

Thanks a ton in advance!

Go for a work permit for her as after your studies you will get an open work permit she can get a visitor Status to stay with you , and if you could get a locked work permit with lmia she will get automatically an open work permit so you can work both.

Apply for sowp, although the chances would be alim at this time considering the condition for the same is for you to have atleast 6 months remaining on your study (which is touch and go right now). Notwithstanding once you apply for OWP, you need to have a NOC O/A/B job and min 6 months remaining on your work permit.

If you Are you studying in a univ, chances are still better than if you are studying in a college. All the best
