@Bryanna trv is not important? because I just have my study permit right now, was wondering to apply for my husbands sowp
Your husband would be applying for a SOWP on the basis of your study permit. Also, a TRV is automatically issued when someone is approved for a study permit.

Quite honestly, this is a minor point. Do include the study permit (and the TRV also if it makes you feel better :) )

Hello @Bryanna.

My parents and nephew ( a minor.) applied for B1/B2 america visa in 2015 from pakistan. It got refused even though my brother is a dr. And is well settled. my parents are the legal guardians of the mentioned nephew (their grandson). The reason was ties back home.

I moved to canada as PR in 2018 along with my husband and three year old boy. My husband got a job as a digital.marketing specialist with a yearly income of 40 and then 45,000CAD. whereas i am a housewife and have no income. I applied for my parents' and nephews visit visa (paper application) . It got rejected too. the reasons were a)family ties in canada and back home, b) purpose of visit c) personal assets and financial sutuation, and based on that it was deduced that they won't leave canada. Also, that they could not support themselves financialy

These are the documents i attached from.our side

1) PR cards and landing papers for us three.

2) my husband's employment letter and promotion letter stating an increase in pay.

3)!bank statement for six months ( we had around 5000 CAD in our bank account. We have a joint account.

4) pay stubs for three months

5) passports

6) invi letter (i stated that i want to apply for a job and aoni want people to b here with me who can looks after the house and my child so ican concentrate)

7) a day care subsidy rejection letter (to ahow that i wanted to put him in day care but i don't qualify for a subsidy, and i can't get work or go to interviews with my child)

8) marriage certificate showing we are a married couple.

9) famoly registration certificate showing that we three are a family

About my parents

My dad is a property consultant. He had a registered business.however, in 2014 he did not renew his business registration and works as a freelance property consultant and dealer. He has been in this business for over 30 years and has loyal customers who come to him and he oversees all of their property transfers. My mother is a house wife. They own the house they live in presently and we all grew up in. Other than that he owns a residential apartment and a farm land. Our house has two storeys. The ground level is used by my parents while the first floor has been on rent since 2009. It is currently rented by uzbak embassy employer's family. They get yearly rent of 13,200 US dollars. The property and bank accounts are all in my dad's name. My mom does not own any property nor does she have a personal bank account.

Documents i attached

1) all the forms

2) passport(latest and old with entry and exit stamps to and fro from saudia araabia and Sharjah)

3) marriage certificate showing that my parents are married.

4) bank statement of four months with 18000CAD

5) legal guardian papers for my nephew + court papers showong that his father renounced all claims on him ( my sister got divorces after her first marriage. My nephew lived with us as his biological father renounced all claim. My father took care of his finances. Even when my sister got married again, my nephew lived with my parents. In 2014 they went to court and became his legal guardians. They didn't adopt him, just became his legal guardians)

6) property papers(but vfs refused to take em)

7) reserved round trip flight.

8) letter of explanation

9) nephew's accepted and signed leave of absence from school.

10) rental lease for the first floor of their house and the residential flat

Now, I've been reading up a lot on internet about the reasons of rejection and what may have caused it. Accorsing to your advice to others i realized imade some mistakes

1) i mentioned that they would stay for three months while it should have been 3-4 weeks at most.

2) i mentioned in my invi letter that they would come and help take care of my baby and household. More like a babysitters job. Also that they would live with me at my address but they would finance all other expenses themselves.

3) my father was the main applicant and the other two were depedents. I divided the 18000 CAD amount among the three of them and mentioned 6,000 CAD in each one's form. and in the gcms notes only 6,000cad were shown as funds available.

4) because vfs didn't accept the property papers, there was no show of owning any asset. I did mentuon it in the letter of explanation, but had no papers to prove it.

5) i applied my nephew's visa with them. The situation is a lil complicated and might have affexted their decision.

Now, i want to apply again as i am expecting. I have prepared a case.

1) i will apply for my mother alone sot here are strong family ties back hom.

2) i will mention that she would stay for 3-4 weeks.

3) i have mentioned in my invi letter that i am prrgnant and miss her and wish to see her. I did not mention to b here for delivery. Rather just come in april and then leave as her grandson has final exams in may and also ramdan is approaching, so she has to return by may.

Supplement Documents i plan on attaching other than the basic ones

1) dr. Letter confirming pregnancy

2) notarized letter of finanicial support from my father

3) reserved round trip

5) bank statement of 10,000 CAD

6) letter of explantion (elaborating on the reasons of refusal)

7) property assessment.
8) property tax for last three years.
9) 9) day to day itinerary with eatimated expense.
10) last years rental check
11) prpoerty ownership papers including residence, another esdinential plot, 1 residential flat

Sorry for the long post but i wanted you to have a complete picture. I have already written all the invi letters, and if you would be kind enough i can send you.

IMO, you will be repeating the same mistake again for your mom's new application.

Your parents were previously refused because they had stated their intentions to work i.e. take care of your house and your baby while you worked. You are again making the same mistake by mentioning about your pregnancy + by including the doctor's note et al.

Your parents' had excellent applications and would have been granted TRVs if you had not mentioned about them wanting to work illegally

So what do i do? If i omit this, then nothing much would have changed in my circumstances since the last time i applied.
The dr. Note only confirms pregnancy, nothing else. I've also mentioned that my husband now has a better paying job so i don't need to work. I can take care of the house and my kids myself.

I recommend you don't mention about the pregnancy nor include the doctor's note. It would make her new application to seem just like the previous ones.

Instead, do prepare a day-by-day visit plan with expense estimates for spending time with you and your family, sightseeing, etc.... as the purpose of her visit.

You can mention that you are not employed because you prefer to take care of your home and your child (your older one)

Ok. Thank you bryanna!!!
Hey @Bryanna. Submitted my mum's online application. On the night of 24th feb, got the biometric xonfirmation letter on 26th and on 27th feb(just now) got a request for original passport.
Now in the letter it says that the visa will b valid till the passport's expiration
My mum's passport is expiring in octo.. Can i get a new one made and send that one? Or does it have to be the one mentioned in the application form. Thank you

Hope their applications included certified translations in English, if required.

Sounds good. Fingers crossed they are granted TRVs
My parents got their visa approved for 5 years till the expiry of passport.

Thanks for the help and support you provided.
