I recently got my visit visa application rejected because of my employment situation and immigration status in country of residence. I am a dependent on my husband who lives and works here in saudi arabia. On the application that got rejected I put my employment status as housewife/not working because that's what I am. In the rejection letter it asks for an employment letter, even though I am not working??? I plan on reapplying.

Should I put my immigration status as Other -> Dependent?
And what should I put for my employment situation??

Please anyone help. =/

How long they took for decision?
Provide all detail that you mentioned in your application form so we can guide you for your next application

I applied for a visitor visa on 12 June 2017 and received my rejection 15 Jule 2017. So the decision took around 4.5 weeks.

Then re-apply again and write addition letter that will be address to visa officer. In that letter mentioned that i am house wife since your date of marraige. Also mentioned your husband job and all his financial documents as your supporting documents.

What about my immigration status? Do I put it as a dependent?

They want you status in KSS. Temporary resident, percent resident, work permit etc. You will need to show strong ties, legal ties to KSA as well as the financial means to support yourself. How long did you request and have you travelled to other western countries that require a visa previously?

I am a temporary resident and a dependent on my husband who lives and works here. I'm good with the financial means. I'm just not sure what to put as my immigration status in my country of residence (which is currently KSA). I have not traveled to other western countries that require a visa.

Did you show any proof of your temporary resident status in KSA?

Although this reason of refusal is usually given to people who are currently not in their home country, even if they have legal status in their current country of residence and showed proof.

You were also likely rejected because you do not have any employment.

That's why those reasons were given for your refusal. An unemployed housewife who does not live in her home country is going to have a very hard time to get approval.

I did not show any proof of my temporary resident status here. I guess I could show my iqama (resident permit) but I cant change the employment part. I'll try and clear things in the letter of explanation.

I believe you said in another thread that you are also applying for a study permit. If this is the case, I would advise not to send a new TRV application until you get the result of your study permit. Too many attempts to apply for a TRV + an ongoing study permit application show desperation to get into Canada, even if this may not be your intent.
I guess your purpose for the TRV is to look at universities, but it's going to be very difficult to overcome your current immigration and employment status, not to mention your lack of travel history.

Just to add:
In your other thread, you've mentioned about applying for a study permit for one applicant + for TRVs for the parents to help the student-child to settle in. If this is the case, my advice is not to reapply for TRVs for the parents as you have temporary status in KSA + no previous travel history + lack of strong ties to KSA, etc
