Hello Experts,

I have applied for a visitor visa for 3 weeks on November 30,2016 and got rejected on December 2,2016 :'( reason being denied is

1. My travel history
2. Purpose of travel

Note: My PR application in under process.

I got married in the month of August,2016 and my husband left to Canada on September 4th due to his work. We haven't spent much time together and hence decided to apply for a visitor visa because i wanted to celebrate my b'day with my husband which is in march.

They have denied my application on the above mention reasons. However, i stayed in Australia for 4 years and returned back to India in March,2016 and got married i August,2016 and also visited Singapore and Thailand. I haven't elaborated my travel history though while submitting the application because the consultant suggested it is not necessary. Somewhere i also felt that the cover letter that the consultant prepared was really justifying my purpose to travel.

I would like to reapply. kindly help me with the documentation and preparing the cover letter.

Thank You

Is your husband Canadian? If not, what is his status in Canada?

First of all, I'm so sorry to hear that your visa was rejected. I'm currently working in Canada with the work permit. In my case, my wife is staying in Thailand. and I wants to spend time together during Christmas and new year's day.
I'm waiting for the result on my wife visitor visa now. I think the biggest issue on your application is whether you are currently working or not in your home country. If you are, you can add the employment letter. If you are not working, you may have to prove that you are going back to your home country with the property documents or business license under your name.

my husband is a permanent resident and since my PR application is also under process may be that should be the reason. Will my travel tickets be of any help?

Unfortunately it's quite common for TRVs to be refused in cases such as yours since CIC knows you have plans to remain in Canada long term. It's unlikely that having a travel ticket will be of any help.
