Hi Anne,

I am also planning to file my TRV application by May and i understand that in CIC website has checklist, can you help me please the additional requirements? I have land and house tittle with me and it was authenticated in DFA Manila and i am confused if the docs are still required for further authentication here in UAE. I have a bank account and my employer will provide salary certificate for me and I'll use my company ticket entitlement for my plan visit.

The amount of money depends on what you will be doing and Canada, length of your stay, etc. You can provide bank statements, payslips, etc.

My fiance and I are in a similar situation. Did you reveal to the embassy that you were going to visit your fiance? Did that help your case or hinder it?
Did you submit any documents in addition to those in the checklist?

Any help in this regard would be very much appreciated!

Hello everyone, i m in similar situation here. i m married to a Canadian citizehn and she is pregnant rite now. i wanna visit her at the time of delivery. i m really nervous too.

Hi heeru_maan

I haven't submit my application yet. I'm still completing the requirements. We planned not to dispose the information that he is my fiance and we will just put it as he's my friend. It is very risky to tell them about him being my fiance as they may think that i will not be coming back. Hopefully things will went well.
When do u plan to apply?

I plan to lodge my application for TRV this coming Wednesday...so please help me. Aside from 5257E form...do I still need to fill out 5257E-Schedule 1???? please please I need your answer ASAP. When I went to Canada a few years back, i don't remember seeing this form.

Also, another critical questions. I have applied for a federal skilled worker 3 years ago and my application was not processed…reason stated was that my application was not eligible for further processing as visa officer was not satisfied that I performed the major duties listed in their list. My fees were returned. Is this considered being refused of a visa to travel to Canada?

In the background information of the TRV application there are questions:
a) Have you ever previously applied for any Canadian visa (for example: Permanent Resident, Temporary Resident (visitor, student, worker, temporary work permit)? …my answer is YES, since I applied for FSW and tourist visa before
b) Have you ever been refused any kind of visa to travel to Canada?
Before my application for skilled worker was returned, I was granted a tourist visa to Canada and have travelled there before. So…should I answer YES since my application for federal skilled worker was deemed not eligible for processing????? Is this considered refusal of a visa????

I am in similar situation as well. I had to write a letter of invitation for my boyfriend however in the letter we were honost because if they ask him at customs and he lies then he could get denied entry. Just a thought. I was told by others to state the honost on the letter because you don't want to get in trouble later when it's time for sponsorship. It's a definitely a risky chance because they might not think he will go back but you have to be honost. The VO's like honosty
