It looks like you love your wife a lot. Tell her to stay back and have the baby in Pakistan. She is leaving you at the very last moment, that sucks man. I don't think you should have an issue getting a visit visa, It shouldn't affect your immigration in the future.

Now, since she is your cousin I don't know if that would raise any flags. But seems like that is an ok thing in that part of the world.

good luck and congrats :)

Actually, the chances of you getting a visitor's visa with your Canadian wife and baby in the country is extremely slim. You will be considered a serious overstay risk. I recommend you search "TRV refusal" on the forum and see what other users have experienced. (Sorry.)

There is a very small chance you can get a TRV, but you will need an outstanding application and convince the VO you will leave Canada at the end of your stay 110%. You will need lots of proof.

Also, it's better to have the baby in Canada. You can search for topics regarding that as well. Just make sure your wife returns to Canada in time to qualify for Healthcare. In Alberta, if you move from out of the country, you are eligible for healthcare immediately, but you must remain in Alberta for 183 days out of the year or you will be backcharged for the birth. Check her intended province.

If it's rejected, you will have to list it on your immigration papers, but it won't negatively affect you also long as you're honest. In fact, it will show you tried to visit your wife and your baby because you're a caring father and husband - you love your family :)

Btw, if anyone gives you crap about being married to your cousin, it's also legal in 21 US states........ so it is in the Western world too!

First of all u should have applied for immigration by now.....I have heard that often applying late for ur spousal visa has negative effect on ur case.
As far I know there r not much chances of getting visitor visa....I have a 3 yr old kid and i was expecting second child this summer and applied for husband's visitor visa i wanted him to be here before delivery. Mentioned lots of things that proved that he will return to pakistan such as millions worth of bank balance, businesses such as gas station, commercial plaza, etc but his case still got rejected saying that they dont believe he will leave Canada at end of his stay. I even had purchased visitor insurance but nothing worked. And no it did not have any effect on his spousal visa infect I think it made them reopen my spousal case as it was in Que for long long time.
But trying never hurts....there is not much fees associated with it so I guess u should at least try, u never know u might be lucky one.

thankyou for replies,
I understand thatr my chances are small in getting the visa but I need to be sure that rejection will not effect my immigration process, as I have talked to my in laws and they talked to some laywer in Canada and they told me do not apply for visa because if its rejected your immigration process would be delayed etc.

If you only have 1 other TRV rejection, one rejection won't really affect your eventual PR application. It's when you have multiple rejections for different types of visas that the vo might start to get suspicious. I think you'll be fine, plus showing cic that you're trying to get to your wife for the birth of your child shows genuineness of your relationship, since, what kind of father wouldn't at least attempt to be at the birth of his child?!

I've had a lawyer tell me things about immigration that were completely 100% wrong. They don't know everything.

When are you going to start the immigration process? If your wife can get Stage 1 approval before you apply for the visa, it may help. A few people have had success here.

tink23 is right, it will show them the u actually care for each others and are real husband & wife.....as far delaying or rejecting PR is concerned no it wont.....in my case visit visa helped speed up my PR case....it was in process since april 2010 but after my visitor visa they opened up my case so it kinda help with PR.
