Hello
I am a Canadian citizen and my wife and son has a Pakistani nationality. They got the visit visa, and I moved back to Canada from US with them. I want to mention that she was also pregnant at that time.
We came to Canada in Oct 09, and I starting working with a company here (with a good job). My wife gave birth to a baby girl in Nov 09.
Their visit visa and passports were expiring on Feb 24. We applied to get new Pakistani passports, but the passport machines of the country broke down and the passports were delayed. So while in Canada, I applied for their visit visa extention and restoration of status and paid 400 $ fee. In the application, I mentioned that as they would be getting their immigration soon, so please extend thier visit visa.
What went wrong:
In the visit visa extention package, I forgot to put the copies of their visa and visa stamp page (the proof of their entry into Canada). So we got a reply back on June 10 stating that our visa has been refused because we didn't provide the proof of their entry into Canada. Once we got the letter, I checked the documents that I submmitted and I was shocked that BY MISTAKE I really missed to attach the copies of the visa and entry stamp page.
In the refusal letter they haven't given them any date to leave Canada.
I have following questions:
1. Shuold I file a new application for their visa extention and restoration of status by paying 400 dollars, or just send them the required documens without paying the fee.
2. What are the chances that they will get the visa extention?
3. What if we get a leter from the doctor mentioning that my baby girl was born in Canada and she needs vaccination and it would be hard for her to acclamatize in a different environment. Is this a valid reason for visa extension?
4. What else would you guys suggest?
I will appreciate QUICK replies as I have to act fast.
Thanks
