Hi everyone,

I have a question. Very similar to yours.
My mom came to visit me but ultimately she wants to stay. Shortly after her arrival my brother came. Both of them didn't have a return ticket. My brother has a stamp with a date on it so he is leaving within the 6 months mark and going back home. My mom wants to go on vacation somewhere other than the USA for a week or so and then get back for another 6 6 months. Is this possible or they will stop her at the airport?
Little back story... I am in the processing of applying for PR so I am currently on working visa. And when my brother came, the officer called me from the airport asking me all sorts of questions.

if someone heard anything your input is much appreciated!

Whether your mother is allowed back into Canada and for how long is entirely up to the CBSA officer she encounters at the border when she arrives back in Canada. So yes - there's always some chance (not matter how small) that she may be stopped at the airport. Keep in mind that a visitor visa only allows her to visit Canada temporarily - not live here.

Thanks!
Do you happen to know if it affects my process in anyway? I am going through under Express Entry and my working visa expires in May. I am a little concerned if the call that was made when my brother came will have consequences.
When they called they asked all my info. Is it on my record-my brothers only? or really it wasn't a bit deal...

No impact on you.

Sorry, one more question. Her 6 months expire on Nov 1st and she wants to go to Mexico for a week before that so say last week of Oct. Is it possible they say you must leave for Nov 1, after her initial 6 month?
