Hi,I can’t seem to find the answer for the below question
If someone has an Indian passport which expires in May 2025 and the present valid Canada visit visa also expires in May 2025 ,can they enter Canada or the 6 months validity of Passport would apply .or can the passport be renewed and would the visa in the old passport be still valid Thanks

I really think they are allowed to board the plane only when there is 6 months validity on passport. But visa remains valid until it expires. I would say it is always better to renew visa as well, as it depends on the Border officer and they can deny entry

If the passport gets renewed ,can one travel with the visa on the old passport as USA allows that ,so wondering if Canada also allows it .Thanks

I checked the link you sent .It says I can travel but they also add to apply for a new visa .Would that be a problem

It will totally depend on the immigration officer when you land. Yours is an unusual scenario. Since Canada only gives visa till passport validity, and the six-month rule for passports apply, hardly anyone gets passport renewed that quickly to travel to Canada.

The passport and Canada visa were both expiring simultaneously, therefore the passport was renewed as otherwise the six months for passport would have a problem for travelling

I know that. The simultaneous expiry is true for everyone, but not many people would be renewing the passports that quickly to be able to share that experience with you. So like I said, it will depend on the immigration guy at the airport.
