Visit invitation

Hi Everyone

One of my friends told me he need an invitation letter to apply for visit visa, my question,
1. Does the invitation letter works for visit visa,
2. Are there a specific information they required to be in the invitation letter?
3. Can PR send this invitation letter or should be citizen?

1. It may. IRCC will still evaluate your friend and his capacity to travel to Canada. A letter of invitation is not a guarantee the visa will be issued.
