I want to visit my husband in Canada from December to June and then return to USA for a short time while PR is being processed. If there is a health emergency for my husband would I be able to go back to Canada or is there a limit of how much time I can spend in Canada per year as tourist?
Is there a link where I can find this info? I looked but couldn't find. Thank you.

There is technically no limit on how much time you are allowed to spend in Canada each year. If and how long you are allowed into Canada is entirely up to the CBSA officer you encounter at the border. You could receive a default six month visit (most likely), only be granted a shorter visit (less likely) or even denied entry (unlikely - but it does happen).

Generally you want to avoid giving the impression that you are trying to "live" in Canada as a visitor. This entails having a return ticket (if you are flying), not packing like you're moving, and being able to show ties to the US if asked. Generally it also means you want to be spending more time outside of Canada each year than inside of Canada. Having said that, there are a number of us here (myself included) who have managed to have our spouses visit and spend most of their time in Canada.

Some of it is just luck of the draw...

Thank you. We have been going back and forth four times a year for up to five weeks since 2012. But this time I have someone willing to stay in my house for six months as my husband may need surgery so I want to take care of him. I travel only with my computer and purse. We each have sets of clothes in each house. I will buy a return ticket and use it. Hoping that since mailed PR application last week that I will come back in June and get PR soon after, then move and put house up for sale. Just wanted to be sure I could go back to Canada again if he needs me. We usually have good luck at border. I will take proof of home ownership, proof of friend who is house sitting and my return flight itinerary.

You should be fine. But again, ultimately it's up to the officer you speak with at the border and impossible to predict.
