Visit Canada for vacation on w-1 visa

I have a valid w-1 visa + work permit (until July 2012). My US based employer got it to ensure I can work from their Toronto office as needed (my most recent trip was in Nov 2011). I am currently at HQ in California as I also have H1B. I want to travel to Vancouver (I'll be flying from California) for a week long vacation in May. Can I go on my w-1 visa, or will I have to get a separate V-1 (visitor) visa.

Hey Insan, has it finally worked to enter Canada as visitor with W1 visa? What was the process of entry and exit?

I have similar situation with W1 (new, never used) and the H1B... Would like to make sure I can come and leave no problem.
