HI guys..
I had applied in Simon Fraser University for PhD in Engineering Science for spring 2012 and got admission letter with financial support of CAD $ 19000 per annum. I have to apply for Visa now. I have some questions.
1. How much balance I need to show in my Bank Statement?. Tuition Fees is $ 5000 per annum.
2. Is it required to submit the IELTS score for Visa ?. There is no document listed like IELTS score card in Study Permit Check list.

Hi,

Attach CAD 19,000 Scholarship letter with your visa file. And mention about this scholarship in your 'Source of funding' column of Visa application.

If possible take study loan and submit your certified loan letter with your application. Its not an absolute thing for you to show loan since you have CAD 19,000 funding, but doing as such will only strengthen your candidature. The certified loan is always a much better instrument over a bank statement.

Its very important to submit IELTS score with your papers. Its 'clearly mentioned' on the visa checklist (Refer VFS Canada website for all required documents and complete visa checklist).

Actually I did not take IELTS because I did not required it for my application in the university as I was a student of IIT Kharagpur and for an IITian English test is exempted in most of the Canadian universities. So I need to clarify if It is compulsory or not

The tuition fee stated is 24500 CAD for two years and living,health & transportation is estimated as 14000-16000 CAD for 1 year. I would be applying at CHC Delhi.

Please help me over how much finance to show for this.
I would also be taking education loan. A loan of 7.5 lacs would be sufficient
I have my own funds i.e 20000$.

Plz comment over the loan amount...

First you have to apply for CAQ in Quebec via Online, only thn you can put off your visa application along with that CAQ certificate at CHC (Delhi).
I would advise you to take maximum possible study loan as the same is certified and verifiable. It does not matter if you actually use it or not! Apply for CAQ as quick as possible; sometime it might take over 1 month to get it.
