I applied for a visa at the Vfs Centre and when I tracked my application, it says my processed passport has been forwarded to the Canadian visa office

It looks like you applied via paper. Better link you paper application online so you'll have an up-to-date status https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...es/application/account/link-paper-online.html As VFS sometimes give confusing updates.

You never mentioned where you applied, but normally for some countries like Pakistan if the application was made in VFS Lahore, it will be submitted to VFS Islamabad then goes to the Canada Embassy which is located in Islamabad for assessment. The same scenario happens also for India, all applications are re-routed to VFS New Delhi or VFS Chandigarh since the Consulate/Embassy are located in these places
