I am a student from India who has completed BTECH in mechanical engineering. I wrote the IELTS exam and got (I-8, R-6, W-6, S-5.5)this score. According to SDS scheme of Canada, I am not eligible to apply for pg diploma because I got 5.5 for speaking.is there any other option for me?

Is you want to apply in SDS, then you can ask for a remark, is you fell your score should be higher. Other portion is to write the test again.

I am a student from India who has completed BTECH in mechanical engineering.is it mandatory that I would take a course related to mechanical engineering?is there any option to do another bachelor degree in Canada which has no relation to mechanical engineering?

Usually the course you do has to be a continuation of your education. Basically the course you are applying for has to make sense in the big picture. If the subject is entirely different, you would have to make an airtight case stating the reason why you are taking it. A lot more risk is involved in the second option. Not saying it is completely impossible, but you would find it hard to convince someone, if for example, you go from engineering to childcare (just an example, but hopefully you get my point). A completely different course will probably look like you are just applying for any course to get into Canada.

Write the test again dude. That's the easy way don't waste the time by looking for other options Try to get Overall score 7 and not less than 6 in all 4 modules. All the best
