Hello everyone
I hope I can get the answers from you guys who ever had the same problem as mine please help
I live in canada and I want to invite my brother who is 22 years for a visit, but he is schizophrenics. He has a very tie relationship with mom,she is the one who take care of him given him medication... he is very normal, quite guy, he was studying at the university. I already applied for my mom's visa she got 5 years. Now I want her to come here but she can not leave my bro by hisself,he always forget his medication. I want to apply for him do you think that he is going to get his visa? My mom always takes him wherever she goes he is very close to he and she can not stay here more than a month so I guarantee that he is going back with her.

Hi Ab30

I completely understand the necessities of a person suffering from schizophrenia , My advice is yes you can try applying and be totally "truthful" explaining your situation , it would have been better if you would have applied your mother visa along with your brother (travelling with your mother) . I have seen application getting approved in the same situation to make you feel bit more positive . Rest I would say best of luck and with a note that until you will not try you will not know .
Best of luck .

Thank you for this positive reply
I should apply for him with my mom, i didn't know that i shoud do it i thought that they have to be two separate applications but its ok i will try for him.
Do you know what i should include in his application? Like does he need a report from his doctor? Or a certificate from the university? Or should i buy insurance for him? What should i say on his invitation? Anybody has an example of an invitation same to my case?
Please guys help

Your mom would have risked a TRV refusal had she applied with your brother. It was a good idea to apply separately.

Yes to all questions.

Although not the same situation, you might get some pointers here:
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/approved-for-parents-younger-brothers-rejected.525880/#post-6470073

The applicant in that situation was refused twice before he was approved after an interview on the third attempt.

Not come across a similar case on this forum. That said, your invitation letter would be along the same lines as the one you wrote for your mom. Also, your invitation letter is not a critical document.

Your mom + your brother must prove they both have strong reasons to return to their home country after their visit.

He must also select 'Yes' to Question 1b of the Background Information section of the TRV application

Not denying Bryanna expertise , But if Visitor visa of mother has been approved without your brother travelling along with her , isn't it a sign that brother can take care of himself ?

That's a good point!

Probably the OP's mom was approved because she had indicated the brother as a family tie to return to after the visit

they will have separate applications for sure , but there is a column i believe in family information form - Travel checkbox , which signifies if the family members will be travelling together or not ! anyways i believe you can apply for your brother quoting your mom will accompany him with proof with copy of visa of your mother on her passport. EOD as I said - the only thing is you can apply and be truthful , Rest leave to destiny and hopefully it will work out for you .
