Ok guys, here's my time line:
I sent my initial application to the CIO on August 27, 2009 and they received it on September 4, 2009.
On November 2, 2009, I received an email from the CIO that my case was approved and file has been forwarded to New Delhi on November 12, 2009.
New Delhi sent me a letter on November 19, 2009, stating that they are ready to process my case and to send the application, supporting documents, etc.. plus the Permanent Residence Fee.
On Feb 19, 2010, I sent them my completed application package. They received it the next day.
They started processing on March 19, 2010.(accd'g to ECAS) and I got a letter on March 24, 2010 requesting for my passport, medicals and fbi clearance.
I got my medicals done on April 17, 2010 and sent my passport on April 19, 2010.
I could not submit my fbi clearance because i totally forgot to include it in my application, so then i wrote them a letter requesting for additional time to submit the fbi clearance(since they gave me a deadline of 45 days). In this particular letter, i had attached proof that i had gotten my fingerprints done from JK Consultancy in NEw Delhi and a photocopy of the courier slip to the USA plus the delivery report.
They did not respond. Finally on June 3, 2010, I received my fbi clearance and mailed it out to them immediately.
July 1,2010=Decision MAde! July 3, 2010=got my passport with the visa...visa was issued on June 22,2010.
