HI I AM AN INDIAN..HAVE COMPLETED B.TECH (IT) 4 YEAR COURSE WITH NEARLY MORE THAN 20 BACK LOGS...I HAVE A 4 YEAR WORK EXPERIENCE IN NETWORKING..
I GOT ADMITTED TO MBA IN THOMPSON RIVERS UNIVERSITY.. MY IELTS SCORE IS 7(R 7 W 6.5 L 7.5 S 7).I HAVE SHOWN FUNDS FOR AROUND 23 LAKHS FROM BANK LOAN.I HAVE PAID FIRST SEMESTER FEES. AND HAVE SUBMITTED MY DAD IT RETURN STATEMENTS AND MY PROPERTY EVALUATION REPORT... BUT I AM WORRIED BOUT MY BACKLOGS,HAS NEONE MANAGED TO GET VISA WITH THIS BAD BACKLOGS...PLZ HELP ME NEONE..MY STATUS STIL STATES THAT ITS UNDER PROCESSING...NO CHANGE SINCE THE SUBMISSION DATE..HAVE DONE MY PRE MEDICALS BEFORE THE SUBMISSOIN AND SUBMITTED RECORD OF MEDICALS...

u can get the visa if everything is in place. according to me backlogs shouldnt be an issue. I have seen people getting visa with backlogs upto 16. please come back to the forum and let us know the outcome. it will give others an idea as well.
I also have an offer letter from TRU but they have given me pre MBA first and after the completion of pre MBA I can join MBA. how cum u got MBA without pre MBA? and please let us know your GMAT score as TRU needs at least 550 in GMAT. Ands whats the duration of the MBA program?

sorry i shud hv made myself clear...yeah i been given pre MBA at alexander college,burnaby..and the MBA at TRU...the total duration is 2 years....even though i start my education at alexander college(pre MBA) my visa has been made as a university applicant,since i got admitted to TRU....and in order to do my MBA after pre MBA,i need to get a canadian GMAT(says so on offer letter.),so basically i can do my GMAT only when i get thr...

and also read in some other forums,visas being rejected coz of course mismatch..the guy has finished and b.e (electrical) and opted for pg dip IBM....in my case i am jumping from IT to management(MBA).is that a course mismatch too..

what dou mean by a Canadian GMAT?. GMAT is same across the globe. In TRU its optional u do it (GMAT) for pre MBA from India or u prepare for it while doing pre MBA in Canada. Most students do it while doing their pre MBA in Canada. In my case, I already have written it (590). I dont need to write GMAT again. Since u still have to go through GMAT that’s why they have mentioned that u have to take it in Canada.

There is nothing like course mismatch. MBA is for everybody, if u can demonstrate to visa office what exactly u want to do, then there shouldnt be a problem.

oh thanks a lot...wasnot sure about the gmat....but usuallydoes the immigration give a initial response in 3 weeks...but some people in other forums have complained of no response for almost 4 months... is that usual...or only happens in unusual cases...
