Am considering sending in my application for study permit soon, will it be better to goto the Canadian embassy or send it through the VAC.
Also what's the average processing time for a study permit.

You have three options
1. Online
2. Go to High Commission
3. VAC

If you have any doubts in yourself or hesitations then apply through VAC

I'm in lags too, it'd be better you submit it via VFS. Reasons are because they charge small fee and they also review your application if there is something you didn't complete, you also get a tracking number to verify if your application is delivered.

Same with me, applied end o March bu no word yet. Don't know how long it takes them to invite one fo Medicals.

@scaranek: I applied 23rd to be precise and I know a couple of peeps that applied on the 21st as well. Dunk of any of them that has got any feedback. What uni and course did u apply for?

Going to UoC........MEng.
Where are you going and how long does it take them to return with a feedback for Medicals?

Going to VIU BC for MBA. I guess it should normally take about 6 weeks for a pretty straightforward application.
