Hi guys,

I got an email (in my name, since I am the Principal Applicant), asking me to send my passport along with my dependent's to Delhi office. But I just wanted my wife's passport to be stamped in Delhi, and mine to be stamped in Ottawa (as per CIC's original email), and I had clearly mentioned that to CIC when i had sent the Change of Visa Office request. I have emailed CIC again with this question but received no response so far.

Should I just proceed and send my passport to Ottawa along with the original PPR email with a cover letter explaining the situation, and ask my wife to send her passport to VFS Delhi with the new letter they sent? Please advise.

got magical email after 18 days not bad send my passport to ottawa and my spouse will be sending her passport to chc islamabad

I applied from India..

Finally received the magical email from CIC for visa stamping at New Delhi office.. will be submitting the passports to New Delhi VFS today..



so happy.. finally the wait is over.. gud luck to all who are waiting....


Could you please share the timelines taken by CIC to reply?

I sent my pp on 3rd july to vfs..they forwaded to chc chd on 4th july,but i hvnt heard anything from them..i dnt know when will i receive my pp back

where did you submit your passport? which location? did you ask VFS to send your pp to Chandigarh CHC...

Guys,

I am getting worried now, as its been 30 days today from the date of request for VO change. I sent a reminder yesterday to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca with the subject like 'Request for VO office change: Application XXXXXX'.

Not sure what else to do. Is there a toll number for CIC that I can try or for Ottawa VO?

Well if you sent it from Jalandhar, then it will go to Chandigarh CHC only... not sure how long they take for stamping.. but i guess shud not take more that 7-10 business days.. gud luck..

Brother, Singapore CHC is one of the worst offices to process files. If you have any option to get your spouse's passport to Ottawa, you should do that. Even a single passport stamping in Singapore CHC is now taking almost 60-75 days.

Also remember, you can not land (become PR) until your spouse receives his/her COPR. So that means you will get your COPR from Ottawa with in 10-12 days, then you will have to wait till your spouse gets his/her COPR from Singapore. Only then you can land.

So basically you will be stuck with COPR untill your spouse also receives COPR. This is true for ALL applicants.
