Yes, I called them and they told that it's in New Delhi now. It will take 10 working days for stamping. Keeping fingers crossed. But don't know how to check online yet.

I got response from CIC the very next day to submit the passport in New Delhi.
Yesterday I sent my pp NDelhi via VFS.

Hope I get my Visa and COPR asap.

Checked my status online. It has been dispatched from New Delhi office and it is transit. Hopefully, I get the passport early next week. I got to collect it at the VFS office.

Hey Guys,
I landed at Pearson Int'l Airport on the 2nd of April, 2014. Was a fairly simple process with no hassles. The CBSA officer only asked why I stayed in Canada on a Visitor Record after my WP expired(I think they probably though I was doing a cash job ) . All I said was "It was summer and I just wanted to enjoy it before I went back awaiting a decision on my PR." The officer didn't say anything after but congratulated me on becoming a PR and blah blah blah. At first she didn't even smile but after our interaction she was very nice. I asked for a miniature Canada Flag but they didn't have any lol. That's all folks. Good luck to all those who are waiting.

So when do you apply for PR card? Has your SIN number changed? Will you be proceeding to Service Canada anytime soon for any other formalities? It'll be great if you could keep the members of the forum updated on further course of action.

PR card will be mailed to your Canadian address after you land(no need to apply). Already went to Service Canada and got my permanent SIN number, card will be mailed in a couple weeks. That's about it, no further course of action

Hey they didn't ask for any proof of funds. If you have bank statements and stuff I guess you should take it with you just in case. Under CEC proof of funds isn't required though. Cheers.
