I received my passport with visa today . Submitted passport at VFS Chandigarh on 10th March which was sent to CHC Delhi from there. Took a total of 10 days!

How long will the visa will be valid for? I heard it will be one year from the day of Med request. Can someone please confirm

I am in a similar kind of situation. But I am in Canada and my family is in India. Is it possible for my family to get their PR visa stamped in India, while I stamp in Canada.?

or is it possible to get TRV for my family to get to Canada so that we can get our passports stamped togetther in Canada?

Thanks everybody. Yes the visa is for one year from the date medicals received by CIC.

Hi Friends,

I am in a similar situation. There is confusion on how to get the passports stamped for me and my spouse.

Currently, am in Australia and DHL/Fedex are ready to ship my passport to Canada for visa stamping but my spouse is in India and they have refused to courrier his passport to Canada, it being illegal to send passports out of Indian borders.

Is there a possiblity for my spouse to get PR visa stamped in India, while I get it done in Canada?

Experts please share your views.

Got email from CIC to submit passport at VFS in india. They gave me 45 days from today. Got reply in exactly 10 days.

@ Manivannang - I didn't submit through VFS since that wasn't required from my chosen visa office(not in India btw).
Will be landing on April 2nd 8)
