I’m hoping someone here has some information/advice or guidance relating to my visa restrictions and wait times on change of conditions.

I’m an Australian Nurse, however cannot work in healthcare as I didn’t get my medical before I left. I have since got my medical and it has been uploaded to the visa centre. My worry is that, I want to be able to assist here during the Covid-19 pandemic, but waiting times to have those conditions on my visa removed are taking forever, they are so far behind with applications. Should I email Visa Canada and see if they can remove them and fast track my change of conditions? Should I correspond with the Nursing board?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You can try submitting a case specific inquiry to IRCC. Hard to say if it will make any difference - unfortunately processing times have slowed down given the current situation. Probably won't make any difference but no harm trying.

Nursing board cannot help. They have no influence or say over IRCC applications.

FYI - Expect it will be a while before you receive a response. People are absolutely flooding IRCC right now with case specific requests as a result of the travel bans. Normal wait time for a response is a couple of weeks. Will probably be longer right now.
