Hey Guys,

Appreciate your reply on this thread.

My profile is :

10th - 62%
12th - 71%
Bachelors in management studies - 52% (i got D grade); i got a drop for 1 year because of my backlog (total 2 year backlog = 9 subjects which were cleared eventually) i have score 66% in my last 2 semester of my bachelors.
Joined a financial company after my bachelors and have a 22 months of experience in it.
IELTS - 6.5 (6-Speaking, 6.5-Listening, 6-Reading, 6.5-Writing).
Program- 2 year MBA program in Vancouver Island University.

Fees Payed: 15000CAD (first installment) + GIC 10000CAD

First visa application rejection reason: Purpose of visit and "Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: Your qualifications, previous studies, missing marks cards, gap in studies employment, level of establishment, language abilities or your future prospects and plans."

Post first visa rejection : I worked on my SOP really well gave some additional documents of parents and my income tax returns which would accumulate upto 18 lakhs, did not show any bank deposits or loans (everything is self funded), i gave sponser letter signed by my father (not notarised/ affidavit) i had no idea that i should do an affidavit or else i would have done before my counsellor did not guide me any thing on that as well as my financials; she always said that ITR is fine, i have no idea what to do.

Second visa rejection : "Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: Your qualifications, previous studies, missing marks sheet, academic record, level of establishment, language abilities or your future prospects and plans."

What should i be doing?.

Appreciate your advice.

Thanks.

My guess is that 'Missing Mark card' is the problem area. You may not have submitted 'Backlog Summary' semester-wise. It's not written anywhere
in the checklist but your agent should have told you about it.

Backlog Summary is where you summarize all the semester-wise details on college/Uni letterhead and
have it signed and stamped by the authorized personnel. Did you submit this?

If you did then best option is to order for CAIPS/GCMS notes which will give you exact reason for your refusal.

Usually when people get missing mark card as one of the reasons then Backlog Summary report is the reason.

I have submitted my official transcript of my bachelors which summaries all subjects and their final marks on my college letter head with my college principal's signature.

Would you think my financials has any problem?

Try to get into better universities. Well , There's nothibg wrong with Vancouver Island but there are better universities with better MBA programs.

Thanks varun. I just need to do my mba, i have no future plans to stay in canada after my course. An MBA from VIU needs no GMAT.. The primary reason me choosing this program is not giving gmat and all hassel with it.

Well , That doesn't make any sense. An MBA without a GMAT is like going to Med school without MCAD. Employers in the future would question your motives if you tell them that you have an MBA and haven't written GMAT before.

I gave gmat a try but couldnt score well. You know a well rounded score is something above 650 with a proper work experience. There are people who have got jobs doing an MBA from VIU/TRU.. I am just trying my luck.

You only obtained 52% for your Bachelor's degree, which is an extremely poor mark, barely above a fail. It shows that you didn't take your previous studies at all seriously and probably made the visa officer think that you would do the same here.
